Background Information

     Dr’s Moskal and Loo are Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is the only recognized dental specialty who, after completing dental school, have been additionally trained in a hospital based surgical residency program for a minimum of four years. They have trained alongside medical residents in internal medicine, general surgery, and intensive care units, and also had focused and specialized training in anesthesiology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, trauma surgery, and other specialty areas. Their training focused almost exclusively on the hard (ie. bone) and soft (ie. skin, muscle) tissue of the face, mouth and jaws. Their knowledge and surgical expertise uniquely qualify them to diagnose and treat the functional and aesthetic conditions in the face and jaws. The scope of our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice includes, among others:

         Our doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. They have great  expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to management of infections and reconstructive jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. They can also diagnose and treat facial pain, injuries, and fractures. They also had extensive training and experience with Anesthesia and Pain Management. Our Doctors will help you decide which anesthetic would be best for you; from local anesthesia (Novocaine), Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas), pre-operative Oral Sedation, to Intravenous (IV) sedation or Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia.  Everyone should feel comfortable knowing that there are anesthetic options and that almost all procedures can be performed comfortably and while asleep. 

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

Administrative and Surgical Team

The entire crew at the Franklin Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are trained to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment while they are under our care. We welcome each patient to our office and our team will assist with creating a comprehensive evaluation of your treatment plan with specific information about the financial coverage provided by your medical and/or dental health insurance plans, as well as any out-of-pocket expense there may be for you. Our practice offers interest free payment plans through Care Credit® to ease any financial concerns. We accept all insurance plans but are providers for BCBS Medical / Dental as well. 

Our surgical staff and front office teams are experienced, helpful and pleasant. The surgical team has been additionally trained and have been certified as oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who provide constant patient care and monitoring from the time a patient enters a treatment room until the patient leaves our office setting. They all assist during administration of IV sedation and surgery.

All of our administrative and surgical assistants routinely undergo emergency drills, in addition to continuing education (CE) and testing. They are highly trained in outpatient anesthetic techniques and are all certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) .
